This installation is a dynamic exploration that shifts in size and composition as individual works come and go. Yet, it remains a representation and reflection—an ever-evolving archive of memory and experience. Through this installation, I aim to embody the ways we shape, collect, and reinterpret memories over time.
These pieces provide insight into the past five years. When I first discovered this book, it was bound but empty, its pages gently tinted by time and light. I carried it with me throughout my time in Florence and on many other journeys.
The pages show small portraits, symbolic figures, and expressive sketches alongside finished works. Like any book, they create a narrative together, yet each page reveals its own story when viewed on it’s own.
Much like my own memories, some pages of this book have been lost, having been sold, while others were too intimate to part with. Some drawings are spontaneous expressions, while others serve as mirrors, reflecting significant moments in my life. There are still blank pages awaiting new marks as this work continues to develop. It is not a fixed entity nor a finished idea. I strive to capture the fleeting nature of memory, making something tangible out of something ever-changing.
